Season Two Title Screen 01

Title card

In the Darkness Lies the Truth is the second season of Stupid Mario Brothers. The title refers to the main mystery of the season first mentioned at the end of Stupid Smash Brothers. The season is a departure from the mostly formula oriented plot of the previous season, though the show rarely strays too far from its comedic roots. Tonally, a sense of urgency fills the more than half of the season, and the series begins to take a much more serious approach towards the end.

Season Two starts off where Season One left off. Mario and Luigi recieved a letter from Link warning them of great dangers coming their way. The brothers and their best friends must embark on a serious quest to learn about this new evil and stop it before it takes over the Real World.

The Season began on May 10, 2008 with the airing of "Link's Letter is full of Holes!" and ended with 15 episodes on August 8, 2008 with "The Most Epic Battle EVER."
